Kor-Chan was inspired by yellow color, which is a part of five colors from Thai
ceramics porcelain, which called “ Benjarong ”. While the name “ Benjarong ”
literally means “five colors,” which composed of black, yellow,red, green, and
white. Benjarong is traditional Thai craftsmanship that have passed down from
generation to generation. Kor-Chan re-interpret beliefs among Thais from the
past until the present, which believe in blessing of the moon. The designers
interpret the yellow color as the moonlight, which has a magic to transform
ordinary object to special items, in the same way as Traditional Thai wisdom that
can be applied for contemporary design.
