Kor-Chan was inspired by yellow color, which is a part of five colors from
Thai ceramics porcelain, which called “Benjarong”. While the name
“Benjarong” literally means “five colors,” which composed of black,
yellow,red, green, and white. Benjarong is traditional Thai craftsmanship
that have passed down from generation to generation. Kor-Chan
re-interpret beliefs among Thais from the past until the present, which
believe in blessing of the moon. The designers interpret the yellow color
as the moonlight, which has a magic to transform ordinary object to
special items, in the same way as Traditional Thai wisdom that can be
applied for contemporary design.
